General Laborer

Tubs-USA in High Point, NC, is seeking highly motivated employees to join our team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the production of fiberglass tubs, including the use of hand and power tools, heavy lifting, and maintaining a clean work area. No prior experience is necessary, as we will provide on-the-job training.

Salary Range: $12 to $15 per hour
Work Hours: 7 am to 4 pm
Reports to: VP of Manufacturing
Location: 100% onsite

Essential Duties

Lift and move heavy materials, components, and finished products using appropriate lifting equipment and techniques to ensure safety and prevent damage.
Keep work areas clean and organized by sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly disposing of waste materials.
Comply with all company safety rules and regulations and follow established safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of injury or accidents.
Energetic and eager to learn and grow their current skill set and perform other duties as assigned by management to support the production and delivery of high-quality tubs.
Shipping and receiving tasks; unload trucks, ensure the accuracy of all inbound shipments by unpacking, sorting, and counting all incoming products, communicate any discrepancies or damages.
Packing and shipping duties; check product in totes for accuracy, select the correct size box to pack items in, affix shipping labels and other labels or placards that might be needed, and operate machinery to create boxes or tape them up in preparation for shipping.
Able to work well individually as well as in a team environment and without supervision.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
Willingness to learn and follow established procedures and protocols for the safe and efficient production of fiberglass tubs.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended period.
Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Repeat the same movements while wearing PPE the entire day.
Bend or twist their body and move and lift at least 50 pounds.
The employee spends most of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules.
They wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, hard-toe shoes, and Tyvek paint suits, as necessary.
Must be able to ascend/descend from ladders and stairs.
