Material Handler

The main material handler duties revolve around placing incoming orders on shelves and picking merchandise according to part production requirements. As a Material Handler, you’ll also monitor inventory and communicate any shortages and receipt inspect orders for accuracy and quality. You should have great attention to detail and outgoing interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $13 to $17 per hour
Work Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm
Reports to: VP of Manufacturing
Location: 100% onsite
Essential Duties

Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, including raw materials and finished goods.

Accurately and efficiently complete receiving and shipping documentation and maintain electronic records of all transactions.

Verify and match purchase orders with received products, checking for accuracy and quality, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation, in accordance with customer requirements and company policies.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels to ensure production is not impacted due to lack of materials.

Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper storage conditions are maintained.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in performing regular inventory audits.

Perform regular equipment checks to ensure all equipment is in proper working order and report any defects or maintenance issues immediately to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through the application of Kaizen philosophy.

Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma
-
Excellent written and verbal communication

Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements

Experience in the fiberglass industry

Technical ability, problem-solving orientation, good practical skills, manual dexterity

Ability to read and understand electrical and plumbing schematics for service repairs.
Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended period.

Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Repeat the same movements while wearing PPE the entire day.

Bend or twist their body and move and lift at least 50 pounds.

The employee spends most of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules.

They wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, hard-toe shoes, and Tyvek paint suits, as necessary.
